"It is disastrous when the connection disappears completely as I can’t afford to be disconnected during work hours.''

I work from home selling AutoCAD design software online. The big problem for me is the reliability of the broadband connection. Although the speeds I get are slow, it is disastrous when the connection disappears completely as I can’t afford to be disconnected during work hours.
To get round this I have to have two broadband routers running on two separate lines, to ensure I have a reliable enough connection to trade, so clearly any improvement would be a big benefit for me.
Most of my correspondence is completed via e-mail; the current speeds are acceptable for this however, when it comes to sending a customer a large attachment I can experience problems and I have to resort to burning and sending discs through the post. Alternatively, I send the customer a link to a different site (in America) where they can download the software.
Updating the business’ website is usually not a problem but if I need to add a large file then I can end up spending a long time waiting. Making this process quicker and easier can only help our business.
My mother lives in the Cotswolds and isn’t a big user of the internet, but she has massively greater speeds than myself.
I am very interested in the Better Broadband project as I already have a Smart TV plus many other wireless, networked facilities. A higher broadband speed would allow these items to match their full potential.
Slow speeds just above 2mbps and unreliable connection
