The Rural Payments Agency and DEFRA have provided guidance to explain the RDPE Growth Programme and the three types of grant funding available to applicants in England. Your business could be eligible if you are carrying out a project to create jobs and encourage growth in the rural economy.
Three types of grant available:
- Business development
- Food processing
- Rural tourism infrastructure
The grants are funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), which is part of the European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF). There are also handbooks available to explain each grant, ‘top tips for applicants’ and details for how to apply.
If you are interested in making an application, this will be a two-stage process. Firstly, you must submit an Expression of Interest form by 16th February 2020 about the work you are undertaking. If successful, the RPA will invite you to the second stage of submitting the full application.
There are also applicant workshops available to find out more and how to apply for the Growth Programme grants. To enquire for an event near you, contact: GPEnquiries@rpa.gov.uk
Deadline for Expression of Interest form: 16th February 2020 (midnight)
